How to Clean & Prep for an Acrylic Nail Manicure

Hello my name is Paul Dang and I am with Nail World on behalf of Expert Village. Clean and prep the nails before putting on the acrylic nails. It's crucial to clean the nails before you put them on because you want to get the oil and the grease off the nails to avoid any infection and so the acrylic nails will stay on better. You can use either alcohol or acetone to clean the nails. Alcohol dries slower. Acetone saves you time. You don't have to rub hard. Just apply light pressure. Now you want to clean out the cuticles using a rougher nail file, this will allow the nails to stay on better because of the rougher surface of the nail. Push the cuticles away from the nail bed but don't apply too much pressure so as to avoid thinning out the natural nails. Avoid skin. The nail will look rough when you are done filing but that is what you want before you apply the acrylic nails ...
