How to Clean a Gun in the Field
Next, I am going to illustrate a field cleaning technique it works out quite well. To clean a revolver such as this, is a device called a bore cleaner. It is a simple device that has a brass weight at the end of a nylon line with brush and flossing material that has a brush imbedded into the material. What you do is feed the brass weight through the barrel, pull it through and barrel is clean in one pass. This is not to compensate for going and doing a thorough clean weapon but is a good field cleaning technique. Also the same type of device is a 22 caliber. Here you put the action open, make sure it is unloaded and the barrel is clean just like the other one. These are some great tips to keep your guns working when you need them.
