Train a Show Dog the Triangle Formation
Hello, this Elise with Expert Village. Com and in this short video clip we are going to be showing you how to do one of the formations that is often asked for by judgments in the confirmation ring. We are going to be demonstrating the triangle which judges will often ask the dogs and their handlers to perform in the ring. This is what it looks like. Go Tai. We are going to be starting here. Typically the judge will be right behind you and what the judges are looking at is the dog’s movement going lateral and coming. He wants to see a clean, nice movement from the dog in all three of these positions. This triangle formation allows him to get all of that in one go. So with the judge behind us we are gong to be getting the dogs attention on us. Tai, ready. Let’s go. We are going to move off of the dog around and then back down towards the judge. You can remember the judge is here and so we want to stop our dog and have him looking alert for the judge. Yes, good boy!
