Show Dog Ear Care
Hi this is Elise from Expert Village.com and in this short video clip we are going to be talking about how to properly maintain your dog’s toenails and ears, which is a very important thing when you are going to be doing confirmation dog showing. We are working here on Tai, who is a black male Briard. First we are going to start off with ear cleaning. You want to get yourself some sort of ear cleaning solution and cotton balls. I find it best to pour the solution directly on the cotton bowl rather than directly into the dog’s ear canal because that tends to be a little bit more disturbing for them and we don’t want them to think that getting their ears cleaned is an obnoxious thing to happen. So if you can find the ear on this hairy beast, you can pick up the ear and you go right in to the ear canal. You want to be very careful, don’t go too deep. I want to start by just wiping off the area right here and going in a little bit to get anything out that might be in there. When you are done, give your dog a treat. Good boy.
