How to Train Your Ear for Harmonizing on the Piano
Now that is just using 3 chords and so harmony is a wonderful world and the more you study them the more you could use. So sometimes you can use just the same chord and I will change the bass note with the bass I'm only moving the bass only. Now I was just moving the bass and it effects the harmony of just this one chord just playing one chord but moving the bass. If you want a little bit more distance so experiment with all of the notes with the left hand you take the ratio which is the bottom note of the chord and then keep going up and see which ones do you like. Especially if you are writing songs always experiment with these different bass notes because they would give you different colors. Now place another just to show you different harmonies. I was having some fun with harmony so just experiment with different of the major and minor chords and then experiment with a bass different bass notes of the chord. Like if you are playing a C don't play a C in the left hand for the bass play like a D or a G and then you would get a different sound and what that would do is train your ear to get more colorful harmonies.
