How to Play Classical Music on the Trombone

Dennis Carrolls with Expert Village In classical music the trombone was a late arrival. In the 20th Century in classical music there are plenty of things written for the trombone. But in the classic, classic era of the traditional orchestra, the parts went to the strings and woodwinds. So we on trombone borrow things from other genre or other players, things written for bassoon, things written for french horn, things written for bass fiddle and play them on the trombone. This is in the key of C and it's the Preludeum to Number Uno. And Motzart a bassoon concerto. So we borrow from the great composers and come up with a special sound on the trombone.
