Tips for Playing Scales & Chords on the Trombone

Within the scale there's the traditional harmonies or chords. You got major and minor primarily with augmented and diminished. These are the basic ones you would learn at a piano, trombone, guitar, vocal lesson. So I am teaching you the chords. C major chord. In the scale of C major, D minor, E minor, F major, G major. In blues and traditional rock and roll there were three major chords. They would be the one, the four and the five. And that would C, F and G. A typical one of there's a swing tune called, In the Mood. You can hear the chords there. One, four. One, five. So, warm up with a tune you know with a scale and with chords. I outlined those chords for you. Work on that song, In the Mood if you're up to it. OK.
