The title of this video is 'How to play scales.....' do you tell us where to play each note? Do you tell us the names of the notes? Or the harmonics? You said the key of c is sixth position!!!!!! So all of the notes are in 6th? Are you an idiot?

How to Play Scales & Chords on the Trombone

Dennis Garrels for expertvillage. To start playing need to warm up and the usual way of warming up and by that I mean getting the horn warm, getting your embouchure set, getting in the groove. You see baseball teams, if you go early to Anaheim or Dodger Stadium, you see the players hitting the ball, running and working out before the game. You can't just take your horn out of the case and expect to play the game, expect to play the tune, expect to have the embouchure the lungs the breathing, everything right. You'll wear your chops out, your lips out, before you even play fifteen minutes if you just don't warm up. It's important. And a traditional way, a good way of warming up with scales and chords. On the trombone there are as many scales as there are on the piano. Every instrument can play all the chromatic scales. By chromatic I mean every half step. The key of C is six position, C major. D major. E flat major, third position.
