So, your embouchure or mouth and tongue and chops and teeth placement is what creates the tone along with the buzzing. Don't be too firm and rigid in your jaw. Be flexible and comfortable. You should be able to get a note. Let's try a simple song. Just a very few notes like America. One, one, four, four, one, one, one, one, four, three, one, three, one. Work on your tone and don't give up. It wasn't for a while that I was not, when I first started I wasn't getting bold brassy sharp beautiful nice rich sounds on the horn. It takes a little while. But enjoy playing a song. We played America. Play Happy Birthday. And if it's too high, play lower. Too high, play lower. Adjust so that you can play the notes. So work on a pretty tone, a bold tone and then volume comes later. Just work on a medium at this time and a simple song.
