This is Richard on behalf of expertvillage.com. I'm going to talk a little bit about the falls that occur during 8 ball. There are so many difference, their are so many variations of the same fall. We can't cover everything on this but I will try and cover a few that do occur more commonly. Best thing to do is to get access to a rule book, read up on it because it's just too much to cover. The first thing about it is that when a fall does occur on a table, it is the opponents responsibility to call that fall and he must call that fall prior to the next shot being taken otherwise it would be as the fall never occurred. Failure to executing a legal shot as I explained earlier is considered a fall. Also scratching, cue ball scratching will be considered a fall. When a player is at the table he must always have one foot on the floor otherwise if you're sitting on the table trying to shoot or you're standing on the table trying to shoot obviously that's quiet a fall there.
