Healthy Snacks for Preschoolers to Take to School

This is Ann and I’m here to talk about healthy snacks and lunches. This is an important issue at school because so many parents send their child with very unhealthy choices for snacks and lunches. It is not a good idea to send your child with a candy bar or soda pop. When you think to pack a snack or a lunch, it is important to think of things as fruit, sliced vegetables, juices like orange juice, apple juice, crackers, cheese, these are good choices. Remember we have a serious problem today in our society with obesity, so many children are overweight, we need to help our children do better. So please when you go to snacks, think carefully of the calorie count, that you choose wisely. You want your student ready to learn, not feel hungry and yet not be filled with sugar and fat. And again, this is to make our students successful in school and healthy at home. Thank you!
