Hi this is Dan and Judy on behalf of Expert Village we like to talk to you today about cleaning your car seat the proper way to do it. These car seat liners which has also been treated with a flame retardant. It is very important when you wash this that you wash it in a non detergent cleaner like dreft cause detergent would take the flame retardant out of it. Also after you wash it you don't want to dry it in the dry it has enough nylon packing and this would crack and shrink. So line dry it, wash it in a non detergent and you never ever wash your hardness straps. You can wipe them clean with a damp cloth but you never wash them. If they get really really bad then contact the manufacture and get a new set and put it in. Also very important to have you car seat manual with your seat because when you take everything apart you are going to need know the routing to put this back together. So pay really close attention when you are taking it apart so you can actually get it back together and have that book handy so it would be able to help you. There is the book, here is the routing, there is even a little diagram right here showing you the proper routing of the hardness straps. Taking a digital snap shot of it something that you can refer to later would actually help but the book itself has direct directions on how to do that.
