Hi this is Judy and Dan on behalf of Expert Village now we have determined that your child still needs to use a booster seat we are going to show you how to use either the no back booster or a high back booster. Samantha is sitting in a high back booster right now. Dan is going to install it with a lock in shoulder belt very important this is commonly misused you want to make sure that the shoulder portion go if your booster seat has a arm rest it must go under the arm rest like this and come across the shoulder. In this seat it has a compose clip which most of them do have a comfort clip so Dan is going to put in the shoulder belt there. That helps position it profitably on the child's shoulder and you can see now that the seat belt on Samantha is running with the lap belt across the legs, the shoulder belt is now coming perfectly across, she is a little bit taller in the car so she could see out better and her knees are bending over this way where she is not having to slouch forward which would cause this belt to ride up and be very dangerous. Just a caution when you child is not in a booster seat any longer cause all of you parents out there are pretty use to your seat being buckled in, in a crash this seat can fly and hit anyone else in the vehicle that is to belted in. So when you drop your child off at school it is a good idea to go ahead and belt in your booster sit just like this so that it won't fly around and hurt anyone else in the car. That is high aback booster. Another advantage of the high back is that it has these wings on it if you have a child that falls asleep a lot in the car it is great because it comes them from getting out of position, keeps them from leaning up against the door or falling over the other way. Keeping the belt on them properly. High back boosters are also good for vehicle that don't have head rest okay children that are using booster sits have to protected just like us they have to have a lap shoulder belt, you can never ever use a booster sit with a lap only belt you must have a lap shoulder combination and they need to have a head rest. So if your vehicle does not have a head rest like a lot of pick up trucks don't then we use that. If you vehicle has a lap and a shoulder headrest you can use a no back booster. This one would actually start at 40 pounds where the high back boosters sometimes start at 30 but on the no back boosters the minimum weight is 40 pounds and again you can see the left belt is low across the hips and the shoulder belt is properly position across the shoulders. Without the booster Samantha was not riding correctly in this vehicle.
