Environmental Design Tips

Now we’re gonna cover all the do’s in your home, things I encourage you do to that will help make your house a healthier home. I do encourage you to pull up all your wall to wall carpeting. Don’t do it if you live in an apartment building and you’re not supposed to or whatever, but if this is your home and you can decorate it, and you wanna make your home healthier. If you have concrete underneath that’s a good thing because you can always stain your concrete and that’s a natural option and use healthy throw rugs and that kind of thing. But if you have just plywood board underneath you’re going to have to look at some other options. Do purchase clean wooden furnitures, furnitures that are not laminated with lots of glues and things that are going to outgas because that’s one of the number one things that make people sick in their homes. You do want to eliminate as much electrical or EMF exposures in your home as you can so if you don’t have to have the computer on all the time, don’t do it, turn it off. If you don’t have to have the TV on all the time, turn it off. These electrical appliances actually interfere with our bodies’ own electromagnetic fields and they cause us to be sick. If your computer is next to your bed I would encourage you to put it across the room so that you’re as far away from these things as possible. Or if you have like an outlet right below where your headboard is, if it’s possible to move your headboard away from that outlet that’s great because it’s emitting EMFs even though it’s not being used, there’s electricity going through those wires all the time. Same thing with your television, just like they said back 20 years ago to sit more than 10 feet from your television that’s true because your television puts off EMFs, so you wanna listen to that and do that. All those little things are going to help. Same thing with your cell phone even, you know we’re all talking on our cell phones. The earpiece is going to help you a little bit with that to separate you a little bit from the direct EMFs. SO I encourage you to limit the electromagnetic fields in your home by cutting down the electric uses if possible.
