What Colors to Wear

Hi! My name is Susan Jacobs of Personal Style Image Consulting and on behalf of Expert Village; I'm here to talk to you today about older, better, but not necessarily harder to dress. In this segment, we'll be talking about color. Color is extremely important as we age because it can make us look alive or it can make us feel exhausted, tired and just fed up. A good place to start is your eye color. If you have hazel eyes, earth tones, greens, browns will be beautiful for you. If you have blue eyes, wearing blue is going to be the place to start. As we age though, we don't want the colors to be so bright and brassy as when we in our 20's and 30's. Bright colors are a little more harsh on the skin and tend to show all the wrinkles and crevices, which none of us want. Having said that, check with a friend that you can trust or a sales person or wardrobe stylist like myself and make sure that the colors you're wearing don't in fact so the opposite of what you're trying to create. The colors here...This is a vibrant coral and the blue with the metallic accents are colors that I wear well. Everyone has their best color. Now, Avril is definitely a winter. We don't want to just abide by the rules for winter; we like to play with all kinds of colors. She most definitely, because of her style, can wear dramatic color, which this red is a very dramatic color for her. You have to know everyone can wear red; it's just knowing what shade to wear. You do sometimes the help of a professional to determine that.
