Hi! My name is Susan Jacobs of Personal Style Image Consulting and on behalf of Expert Village; I'm here to talk to you today about older, better, but not necessarily harder to dress. In this clip, we're going to talk about function. Function of your clothing is very important to consider before you buy your clothes. Depending on what your profession is, you may want to give a little trial run while you're in the change room. What I'm talking about here is for instance, neck lines. If you're in a position where most often your client is towering over you, you want to make sure that your neck line doesn't plenge giving them more than you bargained for. Also, skirts. Often times we don't consider the splits in our skirts. If you're in an environment where you're working going up and down a lot of stairs, you want to make sure that the slit isn't too high. 2-3 inches is a good recommendation for a pencil skirt slit. As well, some skirts have slits in the front. When you sit down, you need to be careful of how you sit. So trying that in the dressing room is always a good idea.
