Hi Melisa: I saw all your videos at Expert Village. Thank you... Thank you... THANK YOU SoooOOO MUCH! Bless you for your generosity and tip sharing. I studied a few different modalities at so-called 'therapeutic massage courses', but no one ever told me about 'body mechanics'. I've been working for almost 2 years now, and can hardly use my right thumb. Now I'll be able to give it a break and hopefully it will heal. Do you have any tips for that? All your videos are well made, and you explain things very clearly. I loved the Thai massage... all of them really. I'll be incorporating your tips into my techniques and definitely be sharing the Love, as I can see you do. (the emails I send you keep returning) Johanna08

Swedish Massage for the Neck
Hi, my name is Melisa Brown and I would like for you to check me out on my website at www.uneedamassage.us. Today we are talking about Swedish massage. I like to start with the neck. It is a great way to start your client to be totally relaxed. I pick up with both hands and I am going to put four fingers right at the base of the head of the skull and all I am doing is lifting it up. I am leaning with my whole body. I’m leaning back. I’m not doing anything with my fingers because the less I use the fingers the better it is for the longevity. It is called correct body mechanics. So what I am doing is leaning back. Then I’m going to give the neck a stretch and stretch it up and then I am turning the neck to the right and I am pushing down on the shoulder at the same time that I am pulling or tractioning the neck back. Turn the head to the other side and I’m pushing down on the shoulder and I am tractioning on the neck. That is a great stretch for anyone with neck problems. With my fingers very gently I am going to be doing a rotating up like I am doing in the fashion of a circle. I am just going up and down. From the shoulders up to the skull. I can do that with very small circles and very large circles and always relaxing at the base of the skull.
