Supplies You Need for String Art

Hi I'm Melody on behalf of Expert Village we are going to continue on and show you some of the things we are going to be using to make string art. This is what we are using as our backboard our actual canvas in a way today. You could use a actual piece of plywood or any kind of wood that is the dimension that you like. It could be something that would fit into a frame in the future if you are making something specific. A lot times people make them as actual piece of art involve in a painting they will have canvas and things with sail on a ship and strings will be in the sails. We get into that later. I found something kind of funky today like it will be a lot of fun to use as our string. We would see what happens with that but the first thing you really need is to have some string. And if you are just doing it for practice or doing it for fun you could actually use real string white string in a ball it doesn't matter. You could use yarn, you could use decorative actual strings and threads as long as they are thick enough and you would see as you start to play with it what you want to use you would be happier with one thing or another. I have a ruler that we would use to create our design because they have to be I won't say exactly perfect but it sure does help when you get into some more intricate designs we are just doing it beginners today. A pencil and we are using push pins today so we could push into our cork board we are something that we would talk about in our next segment is some nails some actual brass, copper, goldish color, very tall, very large headed nails and we would talk about things like that as we go. Watch our next segment and we would show you how we are going to prepare our board to come up with a design.
