Hi this is Kelly and Aaron of South Florida Tang Soo Do here at Muse Art in Hollywood, Florida. We’re going to show you how to do a jump spinning hook kick, you’ve seen a basic spinning hook kick and now we add the jump into it. In the jump, you actually start low and you’re going to use a corkscrew motion, use your lats to help you corkscrew up, you’re going to use your calves and your quads to help you jump into the corkscrew. Now you’re going to add height and angular momentum to your kick. So in slow motion, no just kidding, it’s really hard to do jump kicks in slow motion, I had Aaron going here for a second, but the key is to really be able to push off. And if we do this against a pad for practice, then you also have to add targeting to it. Now the goal here is to land with both feet at the same time and to also kick up your support foot. So it takes a lot of practice but keep working on it and you can have a beautiful kick.
