Hi, this is Jon on behalf of ExpertVillage. In this video clip, I'll be talking about switch operation. As with most woodworking tools, our belt sander has a typical trigger switch. When depressed, our belt sander will turn on. When released, our belt sander will turn off. With this model of belt sander, we also have a lock so that when the trigger switch is depressed in the on position, you can push this lock in, release the trigger, and it will continue to go all by itself. To turn it off, you just hit that trigger switch and it turns off. That switch pops back out. Next, we have our variable speed indicator. By rotating this, we can adjust the speed that the belt is going to travel. Next to that speed indicator, we have a little chart that's going to show us what speed is recommended for what materials.
