How to Remove the Belt From a Belt Sander

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of ExpertVillage. In this video clip, I'll be showing you how to remove the sanding belt. First off, we need to make sure that our belt sander is unplugged. Next, we need to flip over our belt sander and locate our belt release lever. By pulling this release lever up, we will release any tension that's on the belt. As you can see, my belt is loose now. The last step is to make sure that the lever doesn't get in the way when we pull our belt straight off.
