Wireless B, G, & N Routers

On behalf of expertvillage.com my name is David with Friendly Computers and I am here to tell you about the different classes of the wireless routers. Currently, there are about three different classes of the wireless routers. There is the B, the G and the N series. First off, with the B series router, which is the oldest series of all the routers, you are going to be paying roughly around $40 to $50 depending on where you get it at, if you find it at a store. Really, about the only places you will probably be finding them too much now will be from places like eBay. The reason why you may want the B series router is because of the lower price, but you do not get great range from it and that's one of the advantages of going just a few dollars more up to the G series. The G series routers, you are going to be spending roughly anywhere from $69 to maybe $89 depending on what one you are getting out of the G series. Within the G series, there is, also, the G plus and the G mimo, but it all falls under the G series range. You are going to be getting a lot wider range on that, whereas, before with the B series you might just be able to cover one room with the wireless signal. Now with the G series you may be able to cover two rooms with the wireless signal. Maybe even depending on the size of the rooms, up to three or four, but that starts to get more of a stretch. Overall bandwidth also plays into effect. Now if you are really wanting to go with top performance, top quality, being able to have the best signal possible almost as if you are plugged into your router directly you are wanting to go more with the N series routers. The N series routers you are going to be spending anywhere from $150 up to about $180 from depending on where you find the router at. Now, with that you are going to be getting a lot farther range and like I said the quality and the signal is going to be much higher, as well. They said that that router can go up to around 1400 feet depending on what's all in the area. Now, if you got walls and stuff in the area, of course, that's going to degregate the speed and the connection, slightly, depending on how much you have. Overall, though, the best one to go with, if you are wanting the fastest speeds, the most distance, the most freedom as far as a consumer, I would definitely recommend going with the N series because of the range that it has.
