Hi my name is Melisa Brown and we’re doing some more deep tissue. Working on the calf, this is great for runners. You can have your client face down and I’m doing the back of the calf, also what I’m going to do is I’ve got her foot on top of my thigh because it’s giving me a little bit of advantage. I’m using my elbow and I’m using the flat part of my elbow and I’m going right behind the Achilles tendon and I’m going straight down the middle of the calf. Now when I get to a half way point, what I’m going to do is I’m just going to open up my elbow which is bringing the point out on my elbow which is bringing it a little bit deeper. I’m going in deep with my elbow and I’m not using my fingers. So every time you open up your elbow, you’re giving it a little bit more depth. If you want to do the same thing, but with your elbow open, guide with your hand. You can guide your hand, otherwise you’re going to be slipping left and right, you can just guide it with your hand and go straight down and go slow. Never put any pressure on the back of the knee and you can lean forward and you can do the same thing in your hamstrings. This is wonderful for those runners and bicyclists and just open up the elbow and then come out softly. Use your love, don’t forget the love.
