The Card Stack in Magic The Gathering
What’s up guys? This is Jerome from Gamers Enclave. You can check our website Today we are going to go over the stack and how that works. So first of all what we have set up here is a mock game and what we are going to do first is my opponent is going to try and sacrifice his sudden death and this card says sacrifice going down and this creature gets minus one, minus one until end of turn and trying to kill the ranger with power and toughness in two in one. So what it does this card goes to the graveyard but your response to him doing that I am going to go ahead and tie my mana. This card says that target creature gets plus X plus X until end of turn. X is the number of lands you control. So I control five lands making this a seven six and keeping alive. In response to me playing this my opponent is going to play a card call pull under. What this card does it says target creature gets minus five, minus five until end of turn. Now the way the stack works is the last card that comes in resolves first. So you just play this card lastly so it makes it minus 5, minus 5 so this card will resolve first. Goes to the graveyard and my creature also goes to the graveyard as well. I also play this one before. It does not matter because his card took affect first and then this card goes to the graveyard and this guy will also die because uses his ability and that is basically how the stack works.
