How to Fold a Flared Skirt

Hi, Melody, again. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to fold another garment for you. This is a, like a peasant skirt. It's very full. There's lots of material. And, we're going to try and fold this so that it looks nice when it gets put on. And, hopefully it doesn't stay in the drawer or cupboard or shelf too long. I'm going to spread it out so that the skirt is flanged out, flared out. And, I am going to show you two ways possibly, one just describe it. Take the edge and fold it in towards the middle. That would be one way. And then, another way might be to just grab it this way creating like a slice of pizza perfectly. I'm going to make sure some of this hem is all nice and straight because when you come back out to get it, we don't want it to be wrinkled. Anyway, then, I would take the side that I'd just folded over corners to, this is the side that's closed, and I'd take it again and put it over here to the side that was originally the middle fold. And then, either side, it doesn't matter at this point, do one more and if it doesn't quite meet, fine. What you want to do is keep the continuity of the skirt. And, this one has a little belt, so we're just going to squish that in there. Alright, if you feel this particular garment has highs and lows, I think we should fold it in a high. That way, it won't wrinkle as badly as if it's in the thinner parts of the material. And, if you, you're skirt may be larger than this, you can actually flip some of the skirt into the under side just so it's a neat little package. And I would leave it here unless you are going to be putting this into a different situation where this wouldn't fit, that's where I would leave this skirt. In our next segment, we'll be doing another piece of clothing and seeing how it looks folded.
