Upkeep and Drop Status in Magic The Gathering
What’s up guys? This is Jerome with Gamers Enclave and today we are going to talk to you guys about untapped, upkeep and draw steps. So we are going to go ahead and start with the untapped step and as you can see that some of my cards are tapped so all you do in this step is just untap them. During the upkeep step, you look to see if there any costs they need to pay and my ticking gnomes comes with an echo which says that during your next upkeep after this permanent comes into play you have to pay casting costs or sacrifice it. So this is the upkeep step. I just played the last turn so I have to pay that three caller’s which is the casting cost and then the final step to this is the draw step in which you basically just draw a card.
