On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Dan Head. And, today we're going to talk about how to self publish your own comic or graphic novel. Sending out review copies is a good way to get your book out there. First off, most people don't want to buy a book especially a book that they've never heard of that, that they literally know nothing about. Reviews are a way to get your, get the word out about your book, and also to gain some legitimacy in the world of comics. Now, do yourself a favor when you send out reviews and send out hard copies especially as a new guy. If you're sending out PDFs or something that somebody has to download, they're not going to be very excited about that. Now, if Marvel sends me something that is on PDF that they want me to review, I'm probably going to review it because, you know what, they're the industry leader. But, if somebody I've never heard of sends me a PDF, I personally don't get as excited about that. So, don't skimp. Pay for something to send to reviewers, and that's how you're going to get your word out there. That's going to really help you.
