The Benefits of a Child's Creative Imagination

On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Sally Head and today I am going to talk to you how to nurture your preschoolers imagination. Okay, let's remember when you are nurturing your child's imagination, you increase their vocabulary. Studies have been shown that the more the child is exposed to stories read to them, made up to them, or any dramatic play, helps to increase their vocabulary. Social skills, also increased their social skills as they learn to be a little bit more confident in things that they are doing and learning to do. One more thing, it also helps them to take control. If they wanted to be an astronaut, they can be an astronaut. If they wanted to be the mother, they can be a mother. They have control of pretend play, of what they are creating in art, what music they are playing and movement they are doing. They have full control of what they want to do and be. So that is all wonderful for a child at such a young age to be exposed to so many wonderful things.
