Using Props to Encourage a Child's Imagination

On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Sally Head and today I am going to talk to you about how to nurture your preschoolers imagination. Providing props; take everyday materials such as a towel and it becomes a cape or you can take chairs and tables, just throw a cloth over it and it becomes a deep dark cave. Come on, let's be moles and crawl through the tunnel. This is an encouraging and dramatic play as well as imagination and just remember most of the action takes place in their mind. So they are moles, they are rodents, they are rabbits, any animal they can think of or they are just crawling through a cave. Okay one more time guys, let's go through. Let's see you come through. Come on. Can you go on your belly? Yeah, come on your belly. Good girl and you've got all of your animals in there, huh?
