Benefits Of Music ConventionsHello! On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Barry Bergman and today I am here to give your tips on the music industry. There are several very prominent music conventions such as South by Southwest which is held every year here in Austin, Texas; CMJ in New York City; North by Northeast; Americana Conventions and the Folko Lions. You've got all sorts of conventions in this industry by where they showcase musical talent and at the same time they hold seminars and they are great places to go go and learn information about the industry. For those of you who would like a good education, the best thing to do is go to the seminar at some of these conventions. Billboard Magazine holds a lot of them as well as a lot of other privately held things like the South by Southwest, which is one of the top ones in the business. They usually show case hundreds and hundred of bands and they hold all kinds of seminars with prominent music business experts.
