What Are Musical Royalties?Hello! On behalf of Expert Village, this is Barry Bergman and today I am here to give you tips on the music industry. There are two kinds of payment an artist will receive from a record sale and that is a royalty based on the sell and if he happens to be a writer and/or music publisher of his own music, he will receive also a mechanical royalty along with a performance royalty. So it is actually three kinds of royalty that he will receive. He also will receive payments from music that gets synced from the sell of music that goes into DVD's and any other visual medium.
