What Is A Record Label?

Hello! On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Barry Bergman and today I am here to give you tips on the music industry. There are all kinds of record labels; major labels and independent labels. A record label is a company that has the ability to pull the resources in a short period of time to exploit, promote, distribute, market and sell an artists music. You have independent labels of all kinds of jongleurs throughout the country and you have four major labels which are Sony, BMG, Universal, EMI and finally won a music group. The major labels are basically needed in an effort to launch a new artist coming along as well as Independence but Independence needs to make cheaper records and they need acts of more into touring and to develop them organically.
