How to Reverse the Shoe Position with a Jig Saw

Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be showing you how to reverse the shoe position. After unplugging your tool, you want to locate the Allen head screw in the bottom of your shoe. Next you need to take your Allen wrench and loosen up that screw and remove it. Your shoe will come off with it. Go ahead and reverse that shoe, set it back on there and make sure you get your hole lined up in the center. After that you are going to reinstall your screw and make sure you get that good and tight. By having the shoe turned around, the shoe will actually act as an anti-splintering device. This is particularly helpful if you are cutting plywood.
