Amp Settings: How to Get the Best Electric Guitar Tone for Blues Music
Hello this is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village right now we're going to be talking about amplifiers settings. The key for a good blues sound 2 main things that you need to be concern with, that is the drive and your reverb. Basically you want to set yourself up with a good tone each guitar is different. So play with your base troubles and your meads and get a good tone out of it. Then you want to start with your drive, I'm going to turn the drive down on the amp to zero so you can hear how it sounds. Now when you turn the drive up I'm going to turn it to 5 here and you can see it add a little more grip to it. You can hear that blue tone just come out, it's something a little bit more you can even maybe even bring it up to 7 depending on your guitar. Turn it back down a little bit, and the other key thing is your reverb, now your reverb that you really want to use in these amplifiers, these old amplifiers basically spring in back of the amplifier, and it's called spring reverb. And that also models on this amplifier here and I'm going to turn it to zero with no reverb and show you the difference. Now I'm let's turn that reverb up I'll turn it up to 5 and see how much it adds to the sound.
