Learn Basic Safety Tips for a Finish Nailer or Brad Nailer Tool

Hi, this is John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be talking about basic safety instructions. First off make sure you're wearing Z87 approved safety glasses. When you do discharge the nailer, there will be a burst of air that will come out of the nailer and this can throw dirt and debris into your eyes. You want to make sure that you regulate the air pressure correctly, if you don't do this you could damage the tool or you could get injured. On your nailer you must have a coupling at the end where you can attach an air hose, this coupling not only allows you to attach the air hose, but it also safely relieves all the pressure inside the tool. When nailing make sure you do not place your hand underneath the material because when you nail, a nail will go through the board to the other side. Lastly you just want to make sure and stay alert, watch what you're doing and use common sense.
