How to Practice for a On Camera Acting Audition
On behalf of expertvillage.com I'm Lori Wyman from Lori Wyman Casting in North Miami Beach, Florida and today we're going to talk about how to prepare for on camera auditions. One of the great mistakes that actors make is right before their audition, they're talking to people in the waiting room. Now, this is sabotaging your performance. My suggestion is to work on your dialogue up into the very point that is time for you walk into the casting room. You see, what happens is even through you've been working on the dialogue the night before and you come in the next day and you say, "I know my dialogue perfectly." Even though you think you know that dialogue perfectly, if the last 5 or 10 minutes before the audition are spent talking to somebody else or doing anything else instead of working on your dialogue, that can absolutely throw you off. So make sure that you are working on your dialogue up until the very moment that it is time for you to walk into your audition and if you are you will be as sharp and as ready as you can possibly be to give a perfect audition.
