Hi, on behalf of expertvillage.com I'm Lori Wyman from Lori Wyman Casting in North Miami Beach, Florida and today we're going to talk about on camera auditioning techniques. Accents are very, very important when you're auditioning for television or film. Now let me tell you what I mean by that, I don't necessarily have an accent, but let's say I was coming from Alabama and I was suppose to be a southern girl and maybe I want to audition and I want to get that part. Well, let me tell you, if I'm going to use a southern accent, it's very important to use that southern accent from the time I slate from the time I finish. You don't want to hear, "Hi, I'm Lori Wyman and I'm auditioning for the part of the southern belle" and then I go into my southern accent, because you know why? They're going to know you're acting, never let them catch you acting. Very important, never let them catch you acting! So if you are suppose to have an accent for your character, by all means make sure you perfect it and make sure you use it from the time you begin from the time you end.
