Turning Off Your Cell Phone at Acting Auditions

On behalf of expertvillage.com I'm Lori Wyman with Lori Wyman Casting in North Miami Beach, Florida and today we're going to talk about how to prepare for on camera acting auditions. Another way you can prepare for your audition, believe it or not turn your cell phone off. I have four signs in my waiting room that say, "Please turn your cell phones off." It is amazing how many actors will be sitting in the waiting room at the crucial time right before the audition, talking on their cell phone and then what happens? I call their name, oop I got to go. Turn your cell phone off and then come in here. They're in the middle of their audition and right in the middle of their audition, what happens? Their cell phone rings, well they can't just stop the audition and answer. Well what do you think happens? It throws them off in a really big way and if the casting director is not gracious enough to stop the taping and allow you to start all over and turn your phone off, you have just wasted that entire audition. Turn your cell phones off!
