Young Homing Pigeon Training

My name is Joseph Lee. The wings have become stronger, start flying and start ranging out. That is the time you start giving them training. You toss the bird about 2 kilometers to 5 kilometers on all of the directions. Just before the races, about 1 month before the race, again you start tossing them in one direction. In one direction, the direction where your race point is. Of course in the first toss, people always go for the landmark tossing like near your house where there's a big landmark which can be seen from very far. So you toss your bird at least 2 to 3 times from there. So when your pigeon is coming back home and they see that landmark, they know they are near their own home. So they try to come back more faster. Of course you have to teach them how to cross the river. We have noticed when you cross the pigeon across the river in the first toss you always find the bird will be going up and down the river. They are a little bit afraid of crossing it. After a long time, then they will cross the river. After that as the training becomes further, then the club training starts. After from about 40km on, then the pigeons are taken by the club. They will be taken by mandatory for the training and all that and when they race starts, then the pigeons are transported by the train.
