How to Correct an Early Release in your Golf Swing: Part 1

On behalf of expertvillage.com my name is Ray Boone and I run the Ray Boone Golf Academy at the beautiful Miami Beach Golf Club. Today I'd like to present to you the topic of the over the top golf swing. We're going to add a little bit more to the release, sometimes we'll have people that actually release the club too early and those people do not want to think of rolling the hands over. Those people want to think of dropping the club inside and leading more with the butt end of the golf club. So they want to feel like they're almost pointing the butt end of the golf club at the golf ball and again this is for the people that have a tendency to cast the club. They're fishing, they're throwing the club from the top, a lot of that happens with trying to really muscle the ball and over power it. We really want to stay relaxed, we really want to drop the club in the slot and you want to feel more of pulling the handle into the club into the golf ball. So you're pulling it through and your using your legs to help that, so the legs are going to pull, you're pulling the handle into the ball.
