Making A Butterfly In Balloon Modeling

Hi everybody! Malik the magic guy, expertvillage.com. Now I’m going to teach you a technique called inflating in the center and this is going to be important when we do the butterfly and the snail. Now what you want to do is put your balloon on your pump if you’re using a pump and you’re going to use your hand to block the air for the first few inches of the balloon so that when I’m pumping this up the air isn’t going into the balloon in the first few inches. So this is what we end up with and we can tie this off put a knot here…now this is a longer one this is one like we’d use for a butterfly, I’m going to show you how to do a shorter one as well and how to position the air more in the center. So once again we want to hold the balloon a little higher up and when we pump it up the air will stay out of the first few inches of the balloon, now this is a shorter one for a snail but it’s not exactly in the center, so we’re going to tie a knot just like we do with any of the other balloons and we’ll just give it a little squeeze and that’ll move it and when it’s more or less in the center you can tell that by bending it in half and making sure these two ends are equal, that’s what you’re going to need for the snail.
