Hi! My name is Brandon. I'm with expertvillage.com, and today I”m going to show you how to rock climb. To climb in an indoor facility, you need to learn how to climb routes. Routes are labeled with colored tags, and the start holds always have a V tag on them. What climbing a route means is confining your hands and feet to the colored tags in order to ascend the wall. I'll demonstrate how to climb this route. I'm going to start on the V tag holds on this route. First I want to look and observe the route so I can see the movements before I can get on the wall. My next hold is there, followed by another move to the lower yellow hold, and then a long high move way up. I'm going to start by placing my feet on the foot hold underneath the start holds. I'll reach out and walk my feet over. I have to match on this hold and then move left again.
