On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Christopher from Mr. Dance Pro of South Florida and I'm Kelly Anne from 56Dance. We're going to be showing you and explaining and teaching some salsa basics and techniques and how to enjoy salsa dancing on every dance floor you may go. Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to now explain the man's part to a cross body lead. The cross body lead is often done to many other patterns. The gentlemen does actually lead the lady across his body. Alright, from the side view gentlemen, I”m going to go like this. Notice my hand position please. I'm going to go quick, quick, slow. That right there sets the lady at. There's her back to go across my body as I do a turning back rock. Quick, quick, slow. Notice I've got approximately a half turn. Quick, quick, slow. There it is. It's kind of abrupt, but abrupt is not the word. Let's say distinct. Quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, leader prepping her to go across your body, and then turning her and yourself is the cross body lead. Quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow, and turn, quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, cross body, and turning the finish, quick, quick, slow, and turning the finish. 5, 6, 7, 8....1, 2, 3...there it is. Quick, quick, slow, lady comes across my body. Up to a half of a turn. One half of a turn max.
