How to Choose a Real Estate Agent
On behalf of Expert Village, this is Dan Kelly with Keller Williams Realty here in Miami Shores, Florida. I'm with the Kelly White Team, and today we're going to tell you how to buy a house. Now, we're going to talk about finding the right estate agent for you. What qualities should he or she possess. Well first of all, I think, no I know that they need to know their area. They need to be full time realtor, I believe, so they can totally dedicate their time to you and your search for that perfect home. They should take the time to get to know you and your family and your needs a little bit. Most importantly, I really believe that your real estate agent should be someone that you like. You say, well why is that important. Why should I like my real estate agent? Because you're going to be cooped up with this person in a car, driving around the city for 2 or 3 weeks. You're going to be having lunch, you're going to be hanging out with them, so hopefully you have a great relationship. A lot of people say, oh I want an agent who's been licensed for 20-25 years. A lot of times, don't let that be the criteria. A lot of time the new agent is go eager that they don't have as many clients, they're going to walk over water for you to make sure that your experience is fantastic because they want a happy customer. In this business, a happy customer equals referrals, and that's a real estate agent's bread and butter. The referrals. So they're going to give you a great time, so get a great agent.
