How to Use Camo-Line: Advanced Fishing & Angling Techniques
Ron Colby, Yamamoto Custom Baits. I’m going to help you get a few more strikes on your frogs. When you’re using braid, over a period of time what will happen is your braid, the color starts going out and you start seeing a lot of white white braid and stuff. Well, the fish can see that. To help camouflage this braid, what we’re going to do is we’re actually going to get you a big chisel tip giant Sharpie permanent marker. What you’ll want to do is take and cut you a nice little groove here in the tip so this braid will go down. Before you start fishing or as the color starts changing, put that braid right there on the tip. Just kind of wrap it around it and you want to stroke that line out there a good 5 or 6 feet out the line, bring it back, and color that braid again. So now you’ve got black. I’ll show you on this white. Sometimes if it’s really faded out, you might have to do it 3 or 4 times. We can definitely see that good contrast on how much more camouflage this braid is with the white versus the black, and it’ll help you get a few more bites.
