Keeping Cool on the Golf Course

This is Johnny Miles from The Lake Powell National Golf Course in Page, Arizona with another hot golf tip for Expert Village. What I’m going to talk about now is an active lifestyle. If you have an active lifestyle, you’re going to be outside at least some part of the day. For some of us, outside a large part of the day. This is my office and I hope you like my furniture, but I do enjoy it. Every morning when I get up right after I take a shower, before I put on my cologne so I smell good, I take out some sunscreen. I mean good sunscreen, and put it on. A little on ears, my face, back, and my neck, things that are exposed during the day. They say they make some that last all day, but there are some lawsuits out there. Midday, put it on again. It only takes a second. Same thing with Chapstick. Keep some by the sink. Put it on before you go out in the morning, put some on during the day, and it comes in great flavors. This is vanilla mint. You can get chocolate; you can get your favorites just like coffee. It might make you a better kisser, you never know. During the day, if you’re outside, drink fluids. We’re not talking the alcoholic type, we’re talking water. Replenish the water in your body. If you’re going to drink a beer, drink a lot of water along with it because it’s going to take some water to metabolize that alcohol. Now, let’s talk about headwear. This is the headwear in the United States right now, the old baseball cap. Does a great job for the front of your face, but it doesn’t get the side of your face; doesn’t get the back of your head. This wasn’t really good for the filming, but this is my favorite hat. Number one: it’s got air cool. Two: it’s comfortable. Three: it’s good looking. Number four: it protects my ears, protects the back of my neck, protects the side of my face. It gives me pretty much total protection from the sun. Not 100%, but quite a bit. If you’ve got a favorite baseball cap, stop by golf shop or any other one that carries a can of no sweat stains. All our caps when people buy them, we spray them for them right across here. You’ll never see a sweat stain come up on the front of your cap. So if you’ve got some favorite headwear, keep it looking good for a long time, but always remember to wear it when you’re outside.
