Greetings! My name is Grand Master Jean Le Grand otherwise known as the Phoenix Sensei. The name of our system is Lost Legacy System, University of Mixed Martial Arts. We are located in Coconut Creek, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, we are going to show you how to become a Mixed Martial Art. The question comes about what exactly is mixed martial arts. Well mixed martial arts is a series of techniques from different parts combined into one specific style to make it what it is. What I mean by that, a lot of people know about karate. Karate deals with a lot of open hand, kicking as Taekwondo does. Taekwondo is a Korean art; Karate is a Japanese art. We also use elements of Kung Fu which is Chinese. This is where mixed Martial Arts come about. It was left open for many other styles from different countries to come about such as Brazil, Africa which combine Capoeira which are more dancing forms of Martial Arts.
That video had absolutely nothing to do with the basics of mixed martial arts. Clearly Expert Village isn't as thorough vetting its videos as perhaps it should be.
Having a black belt in Karate doesn't qualify you as a legitimate MMA or grappling instructor. Also creating your own version of the beginnings of MMA/Vale Tudo doesn't help your cause, if you don't know the factual history, go do some research before you decide to write about it. Stop using the name of MMA to promote your gym until you have some legitimate credentials.
