Arm Placement for Shooting a Bow & Arrow: Beginner Archery Lesson

Hello! My name is Harold Hall, Ft. Lauderdale Archers in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and today we are going to talk about tips and techniques of archery. On behalf of Expert Village, I would like to welcome you. Okay, the next aspect in teaching of archer is your arm. That is very important as to where you hold your arm. It has to be basically straight out in front of you; shoulder width kind of level, need to be a little bit of a bend in your elbow; not very much but a little. Raise your hand up so that you get the correct position in holding the bow and to do that we grab the bow here. I'll just show the archer and have him raise his bow, turn it up a little bit of a bend in his arm. Okay, shoulder straight across.
