Golf Tips for Improving Your Downswing
Hi my name is Kensey Snyder on behalf of Expert Village. We’re going to talk about the initial move down from the top of the backswing. So we’ve gotten our self in the position we talked about earlier, somewhere in to here. now this is the most misunderstood and the hardest part of the golf swing. From here we need to make a move in this fashion. You can see that the left arm is really straight, I’ve got the same 90 degree bend in my forearm and the club shaft that I have at the top. So from here we’re really storing and loading this power to give it on the initial blow, so from here you can see it starts from the ground up. My legs start moving, my upper body starts unwinding, and as I move into here, it’s more of what we were talking about the right palm up staying up, almost this way. So as I move from here to there, you can see I’ve got the same amount of angle, I’m starting to turn, the club has stored its power, it’s retained its power, and now we’re ready to give that ball a serious blow and it all started from here, unwinding from the bottom up, from here you can see my right elbow is in here really tucked and from here the rest of the job is almost completed and I’ll show you in the next step how we hit it.
