Hi! This is Salsa Mia at Yuka Lounge. You can find us on the web at www.salsamia.com. My name is Susan and this is Alex. We’re here to show you the basics of salsa. Okay, now we’re going to work on an outside turn for the girl. Now, this turn could also replace your cross body lead or your dile que no. So men, if you don’t want to be doing dile que nos or cross body leads all the time, you could replace them with an outside turn. All we’re going to do is 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, forward and back. This is what it is, okay. Now, the feet are the same for the men. I just lay the cross body lead. Girls, what you’re going to do is you’re going to go back with the right. Now, when you go forward, you go forward just the same way you did for you cross body lead. Now, what you’re going to do is you’re going to get some momentum so you can turn to the left. Left, right, left, and you go back to your basic. One more time, so you’re going to do basic, forward, 2, 3, outside turn, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, forward and back.
Isn't that an inside turn? An outside turn is when the follower turns to her right, she's turning to her left in that video. Otherwise very nice.
